1.) Serafina and the Black Cloak by Robert Beatty ~ This book is all of my favorite things: Historical, paranormal, thriller, middle-grade, stand-alone, and fiction. Here's what I know about it so far: The story takes place on the Biltmore Estate (so cool) and it follows the maintenance man's daughter, Serafina. Now, the two of them stay hidden in the basement because they have nowhere else to go. The pair have a good life together, though, and the Vanderbilts would never dare go into the basement... One day, things happen. Paranormal things. And Serafina finds herself befriending a Vanderbilt and entering the forbidden forest to find out exactly why children of the Biltmore guests are vanishing in the night.
2.) Ashes With Ashes by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian ~ This is the third book in the Burn for Burn trilogy, and I am so excited to wrap it up! I honestly don't know what to expect from this, but I would recommend the first one for sure! Especially if you like extreme drama between high school social circles and a nice dose of revenge-getting. ;) However, the revenge plan goes farther than any of the teens thought.. Mix a little paranormal activity into this contemporary series, and it'll be one to remember.
3.) The Diviners by Libba Bray ~ This has been on my TBR pile for forever, so this month I am determined to read it. This is a monster of a book, and it is a thriller/mystery following a series of murders in the 1920's I believe. That's all that I have heard, other than, yet again, paranormal circumstances.
So, yes! I think that this is a new way to go about listing TBR piles because it gives just some basic insight on a book. If it sounds interesting to you, pick it up! And maybe be as blind going into it as I am.. Have a lovely weekend, and a lovely time reading!
